Hey folks,
What can I say right now other than FAT MAGIC IS OFFICIALLY FUNDED!
We did it! You did it! It has been done! The state of doneness has been achieved!
I’m not going to lie, I’m doggy paddling in a sea of emotions right now. There’s still lots to do, so I’ll keep this brief.
I’ll be celebrating tonight at 6 PM on the Weave the Tale Twitch channel with a very special, all-new, one-shot adventure entitled Fat Magic: Rad Vibes.
I’ll be joined by @XanderSlamilton, @JamaicaSqueeze, and @pennyforatale in the hunt for the greatest band that ever seasoned the Bouillabaisse with its tasty jams. Tune in for a good time and some bad food puns.
I’ll be back with a meatier update soon, which will include the full list of new stretch goal one-shots written by folks in the indie TTRPG community.

75% Funded: Long Dogs & Live Shows

Hey folks!
We have officially passed 75% funded with 20 days to go!
We had a killer first week of funding, thanks almost entirely to all of your incredible support and chatting about Fat Magic on socials. It absolutely means the world to us that you’re invested in our weird little project and seeing it funded.

Speaking of getting this bad boy funded, once we cross the $20,000 mark, I have a few surprises for you. Later this week, I’ll be adding new one-shots as stretch goals, written by a bunch of awesome folks in the indie tabletop community.
I’ll have more details on the stories they’ll be writing in the coming week (I’ve already peeped a few of the pitches and they are hilarious). For now, I’d like to extend a big Fat Magic welcome to these wonderful creators:

Fat Magic Live!
Want to see some Fat Magic in action? I’ll be GMing a bunch of live-streamed one-shots in the coming weeks, starting with 6 PM this Wednesday on the Weave the Tale network and 4 PM Saturday on atheatrephile’s Twitch.
Both sessions will be a new one-shot, called Fat Magic: Rad Vibes, about a bunch of misfit theatre kids banding together to save the old theatre.
Shipping update: The July 4 weekend is slowing things down a bit with our suppliers but the weights we need to calculate shipping are starting to trickle in. We will have some estimations for you very soon, and we are prioritizing finding the lowest rates possible for our international supporters.

Hey folks,
Right off the bat, let me say “holy crap,” “wowza,” and “awoooga.”
Thank you so much for believing in and backing our little spaghetti wizard kickstarter in the first 24 hours! The support from everyone has absolutely blown us away.
Within the first 24 hours, we are officially more than 30% funded at $6,037.
We plan to keep that ball rolling throughout July with a series of appearances and ad spots on tabletop podcasts. We’ve also got some good, old-fashioned promoted social media posts, and you know we’re prepping a whole bunch of free content hand-crafted by our little content goblins.
AND literally, just as I was about to hit send on this update, we got an unexpected email from Mr. Kickstarter himself.
YEP. We’ve been selected to be one of Kickstarter’s Projects We Love.
This means Fat Magic will be highlighted and featured across the website, get a “Project We Love” badge for the main page, and potentially show up in one of Kickstarter’s newsletters. That's going to be a MASSIVE help putting Fat Magic in front of as many eyes as possible and hitting those stretch goals. And it wouldn't have been possible without your support in the first 24 hours.
Needless to say, we are stunned and still processing.
Speaking of processing, a few folks have inquired about shipping costs. Many of the rewards are currently in development, so we don’t know the exact weight of everything just yet, which is how shipping is calculated. We’re working with our suppliers to get you our best estimates in the next few days. Everything will ship worldwide from Baltimore, Maryland.
Of course, advertising strategies and shipping rates are cool and all, but you ain’t here for pie charts and graphs. You’re here for pie wizards and graph barbarians (disclaimer: there are no graph barbarians in Fat Magic).
Over the next year or so, I’m going to take y’all on a tour of the Bouillabaisse and show you just how weird and wonderful it can be. (Which reminds me: If you haven’t claimed your free PDF of ACT I of Fat Magic, now’s as good a time as any! Click here to download.)
We’re all swept off our sweet little feet here with how well the first 24 hours have gone. So, for now, I’d like to leave you with a WIP of four of my favorite characters from Fat Magic by artist Jess Kuczynski.
